Network Engineer

A network engineer has responsibility for setting up, developing and maintaining computer networks within an organisation or between organisations. They offer support to users, who can be staff, clients, customers and suppliers, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Configuring routing, switching and firewalls to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Developing and implementing network changes, including creating and updating documentation.
• Maximising network performance through monitoring and maintenance of existing network infrastructure.
