Unit Pricing Analyst

A Unit Pricing Analyst is typically responsible for maintaining the unit pricing function for an organisation, usually a Superannuation fund or Investment Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the accuracy of unit prices provided by external parties
  • Verifying reasonableness of product cash flows processed by the organisation
  • Understanding of tax, fees, spreads, benchmarks and other standing data that could potentially impact unit prices
  • Data interpretation and analysis
  • Reporting and analysis for other departments within the organization
  • Providing technical unit pricing expertise to support projects and transitions
  • Liaising with clients and external fund managers and building a strong working relationship
  • Process and control design/improvement and implementation

 

Typical requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
  • 5+ years’ Financial Services industry experience
  • 5+ years’ Superannuation fund or Investment Management operations experience
  • Custodian experience
  • System experience – Excel, Access
