We’re partnering with a financial services organisation currently undergoing a major HR systems transformation. Having newly implemented Workday and plans to roll out Workday Strada as their new payroll solution, they’re seeking an experienced Workday Specialist to join the team and play a critical role in shaping, optimising and supporting their Workday environment.

This newly created position offers the opportunity to own the Workday platform from a business perspective, ensuring the system is configured and operating effectively to support HR and Payroll BAU, with a strong focus on system enhancement, optimisation and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the optimisation and continuous improvement of Workday modules, with a focus on Payroll, Core HCM and Workday Learning.
  • Act as the key liaison between internal teams and Workday Strada, holding vendors accountable and driving delivery on enhancements and fixes.
  • Partner with the HR team and external vendors to support release management, manage minor technical changes, and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Provide guidance to two internal system administrators based offshore, ensuring alignment and delivery of support.
  • Take ownership of Workday Learning, identifying and addressing key implementation gaps.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Deep experience working with Workday in a systems or project-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and operations, ideally within a transformation or optimisation context.
  • Comfortable working across technical and functional teams, translating business needs into system improvements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Previous experience managing vendors or third-party providers is a must.
