Our client are in international financial services institution offering a broad range of services that span from retail banking to sophisticated corporate solutions. With a strong international presence, they focus on helping clients grow through smart financing, investments, and risk management.
Purpose:
Assist the Legal & Compliance Department to meet its legal, Regulatory and Head Office management and reporting obligations. Key responsibilities include monitoring of compliance risk controls, and mitigating risks of breaches of legal, Regulatory and Head Office requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Assist with the management of the Compliance Action Program
- Keep the on-line Compliance Manual current to include any new agreed policies and procedures
- Assist with the completion and lodgment of returns and reports to Head Office
- Assist ‘Prudential Standard’ Risk Assessment
- FATCA/CRS Self-Certification review
- Assist with the administration of ad hoc compliance training to up-skill staff in understanding their compliance obligations
- Assist to promote a positive Compliance Culture
- Act as an Inside Information Officer (IIO).
- Monitor and maintain the AFMA Accreditation register for relevant staff
- Prepare AFSL Authorization Memos for front office departments
- Assist with any preparation required for Head Office Internal Audit, External Audit or Regulatory Audit visits
Competencies and Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a Corporate /Institutional /Investment Banking/Financial Services environment
- Possesses a good understanding of compliance and risk management principles and practice
- A strong eye for detail, and high level of accuracy
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Degree in a Business, Finance ,Commerce or Law discipline
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
