Senior Manager - Data Governance & Information Management

This is a newly created role where you will work closely with the business and leadership teams to help them achieve their Data Management goals and ongoing responsibilities in regards to Data Risk mitigation.

Driven by the changing regulatory environment and a strong commercial opportunity for organisations with customer and market data being an essential backbone for analytics and performance management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive data stewardship function for the allocated business domains in the execution of their data ownership responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the Group's information management policies and standards
  • Champion data management awareness, practices and processes for the allocated portfolio
  • Manage and promote data quality through implementation of appropriate metrics, monitoring and reporting mechanism
  • Coordinate and drive data issues prioritisation and remediation
  • Develop domain-specific core data requirements and promote the adherence to these requirements by change projects impacting the domain
  • Lead and build a high performing team

Strong communications skills and effective stakeholder management abilities need to be second nature to you.

You career so far needs to have been tied to data and its effective management such as from an enterprise and architectural perspective. Where you can on one hand hold an audience in a business unit, whilst on the other talk to technology and ensure the common goals are achieved.

This is a very high profile role joining at the start of what will be an exciting journey for this financial services institution.
