T+O+M Executive and I have partnered with an established global FinTech company to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Officer for a stand-alone . Working within a wider finance team, this role will report to the Australian Financial Controller and work alongside with the wider finance team.
Note: This is an IMMEDIATE start for a 6 months FTC with potential to be made permanent. Hands on experience in end-to-end payroll is a must.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Payroll: Manage monthly payroll for Australia and the UK, ensuring timely and accurate processing. This is a monthly payroll run for 220 AU & UK employees.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll compliance with local legislation, tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
System Management: Support payroll system (MicroPay) enhancements and liaise with HR on the integration of payroll data.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison with HR, Finance, and outsourced payroll providers.
Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and reporting.
Audit & Reconciliation: Assist with audits, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
End-to-End Payroll Experience: Over 5 years of proven experience in processing payroll for Australia (UK payroll experience is a bonus).
System Expertise: Strong knowledge of MicroPay or similar system experience.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy is your superpower — from payments, reconciliations to reporting.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You’re always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to get things done.
Communication Skills: Confident stakeholder engagement and clear communication with HR, Finance, and third-party providers.
