Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the fortnightly payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Handle payroll adjustments, terminations, leave reconciliations, and one-off payments.
- Assist with process documentation, identify potential improvements, and ensure a strong focus on audit and governance.
- Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, validate calculations, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions. Proactively identify risks in payroll processing and propose mitigations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive and practical approach, maintaining high standards of communication and service.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience handling payroll for over 1000 employees.
- Extensive experience with payroll systems (Micropay Meridian, Oracle/Peoplesoft, or Ceridian Dayforce highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, terms, and leave.
- Proficiency in time and attendance systems, award/enterprise agreement interpretation, and payroll system integration.
- Strong analytical skills, organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Excel.
