TOM Executive and I have engaged with a highly respected leader in the Australian FMCG (commercial B2B products) industry to recruit a high calibre Financial Analyst. As a part of a large, internationally listed group renowned for its operational excellence and innovation and with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products and services, they serve a diverse range of customers across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors.
The business is experiencing significant growth, underpinned by a strategic acquisition strategy that is expanding its market presence and enhancing its service offering across Australia. Due to this growth with over 10 businesses in their current portfolio and further acquisitions in the pipeline over the next 3 years, they are recruiting a highly capable, commercially strong financial analyst to join their FP&A team.
Role responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to build and present annual budget and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. forecast/budget) and provide commercial insights that support data-driven decisions.
- Work closely with the ELT to build and drive strategic financial plans and monitor short and long term KPIs.
- Prepare models and business cases, commentary on variance analysis and financial results to align long term growth.
- Assist with multiple projects involving system and process improvements as a finance SME.
- Recognize risks and commercial opportunities for the group.
- Ad hoc analysis as required by the senior management.
- Continuous improvements of analysis and reporting.
About you:
- CA or CPA qualification with over 3 years of audit experience.
- Post-audit experience with in a FMCG, retail or a product focused industry as a Financial Analyst.
- Confident communication skills and problem-solving ability
