The Company
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and detail-driven Commercial Accountant to join a large high-performing finance team of an ASX-listed property group. This is a unique chance to work across a premium commercial property portfolio, delivering end-to-end financial reporting, modelling, and business partnering within one of Australia’s most sophisticated real estate environments.
The Role
As an integral part of the Finance team, you’ll be responsible for the full financial management of a key portfolio of commercial assets – including forecasting, budgeting, modelling, and providing strategic insights to senior stakeholders. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Property Managers, Asset Managers, Finance Managers, and external partners to support high-impact decision-making.
- Deliver month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial accounting support across assigned assets.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process including income, capex, incentives, and outgoings.
- Maintain and update asset models, supporting key valuation and leasing metrics.
- Prepare and review BAS, JV/co-owner packs, and TB uploads from agents.
- Business partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide actionable insights.
- Support transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and post-settlement accounting.
- Drive continuous improvement and uphold compliance standards.
The Candidate
- CA/CPA qualified with 3–5 years’ experience in financial/management accounting
- Background in audit, property, or real estate funds preferred
- Strong modelling and Excel skills (experience with Yardi and TM1 highly regarded)
- Commercially minded with a knack for translating numbers into strategy
- Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
