Practice Lead

Salary: $220,000 - $240,000 + Bonus + ESOP

About the Role

As a Practice Lead you will take full ownership of a $7M business unit, scaling to $10M through acquisitions. You will lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence and play a pivotal role in the firm’s strategic direction.

This is a rare opportunity for a Big 4 Senior Manager or Director looking to step into a leadership role with equity, long-term incentives and a clear path to progression and shaping the future of accounting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice Operations: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, optimizing workflows and improving service delivery.
  • Business Leadership: Oversee the financial and operational performance of the practice.
  • Team Management: Directly lead a team of 20.
  • Strategic Growth: Contribute to the firm’s roll-up strategy, integrating acquired businesses and ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the face of the business for key clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and relationship management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the practice operates in compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and professional ethics.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop high-potential professionals within the team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Process & Technology Innovation: Leverage automation and technology to drive efficiency and improve client experience.
  • Cultural Leadership: Guide and support a team that has undergone significant change, ensuring a positive and engaged workplace.
     

What We are Looking For

  • Background: Senior Manager / Director-level experience from a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and grow a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with experience owning P&L responsibility.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
  • Change Management: Comfortable working in a startup-like environment with ambitious scaling goals.
