Shane is Dublin born and bred. His career started out in Accountancy and has worked in banking and asset management firms, in both large and bespoke finance teams across Dublin and Sydney.

After 9 years, Shane was ready for a change. He loves people and thrives off new and challenging environments; so that’s when Shane felt natural to channel all the firsthand experience he had gained working with many departments, roles and personalities in finance and put it to good use: recruiting the best talent for the right jobs across the financial services sector here in Australia.

Shane recruits for all roles within the junior to mid-level across the financial services market. Shane specialises in recruiting qualified accountants into roles at Australia’s leading financial services institutions and insurance companies, at senior analyst, manager, and business partnering level.

Shane is known for being a talker (naturally 😊) and very curious, meaning that he likes to really get to know and understand people – “this is a great base for building meaningful relationships that can be long lasting and trusted”.

Professionally, Shane is passionate about providing a positive experience for candidates on their recruitment journey. Having been on the other side for several years, he understands that changing jobs can be challenging and stressful.

Outside of work Shane enjoy spending quality time with his friends and family. Shane plays Gaelic football with Michael Cusack’s GAA club here in Sydney, which keeps him on the straight and narrow at the weekends.

If Shane could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: Perfecting the Irish Language. Shane went to an Irish speaking school as a child, but never kept it up. It’s his number one to do on his list for 2022.
