Originally from Ballycotton in East Cork, Tony completed his CA exams while working in the Accounting and Finance industry in Dublin. He left Ireland in mid 2017 to spend 6 months backpacking around Central & South America, before eventually landing in Sydney on New Year's Day 2018.
The next 4 years were spent working as an accountant in two of Australia's biggest banks (having been placed by T+O+M into both!) before Tony realised his real passion was talking to new people and building meaningful relationships, and so he decided to make the jump to the other side of the interview desk. He joined T+O+M's Accounting and Finance team in 2022.
Tony’s focus is recruiting junior to mid-level roles across the financial services sector, more specifically placing high calibre qualified accountants into some of Australia’s largest financial services institutions.
Professionally he is known for his eagerness to help others, and he loves taking on a challenge. Having been on the receiving end of many a recruiter call, Tony really understands what a good client experience is.
Outside of work Tony is an avid gym goer, ever chasing that elusive Bondi Beach Bod, while he also loves music, travel and more recently scuba diving.
If Tony could spend a year learning a new skill it would be: either learn how to properly capture & edit underwater photographs, or else how to DJ!
