Martin hails from County Galway, Ireland. Graduating from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Human Resource Management, he immediately pursued a career in Recruitment starting off in Trades & Labour recruitment, before moving into Technology recruitment in March 2019 and joining T+O+M just over 2 years later in June 2021.
He started of as a generalist technology recruiter position where he focused on all areas of technology, but his main success came from Software Engineering (Java, C#, .Net, Angular, JavaScript etc.) where he has placed candidates ranging from Junior level up to Director level.
He is most complimented on his ability to manage both client & candidates’ expectations, which he does by ensuring that each receives the same attention to ensure a smooth & enjoyable recruitment process from beginning to end.
Professionally, he is passionate about providing a positive experience for candidates on their recruitment journey. He recognises that changing jobs can be quite challenging & stressful, so he tries to eliminate that stress by offering high level interview preparation.
Personally, he is extremely passionate about his chosen sports – Gaelic Football, Hurling & Soccer.
If Martin could spend a year learning a new skill, it would be: learning how to surf & and play golf.
I was fortunate enough to have Martin contact me for my current role. At the time I thought it was not a good fit for me, but he suggested I should at least go for an interview. I went to the interview, jot the job and have been happily working at my new role for nearly a year.
